Victorine Neild Crotzer Brothers

We do not know much about Victorine, aka,
Victoria, Vickie, Viccie. The 1880 Austin, Mower county, Minnesota census records
state that she was "Viccie Crotzer" or "Crotcher", age 37, born in
Indiana, and had a son Albert age 9, born in Minnesota. Father was Thomas Neild, age 71,
born in England. Mother was Elizabeth, age 71, born in Pennsylvania. She married James Edward Brothers on 14 October 1884 in Wright
county, Minnesota. The 1900 Austin, Mower county, Minnesota census states she was born in
Dec 1841, and that her mother was still alive, who would then be age 91. We also have a
copy of a letter from Nillie Mills written to Mrs. V.F.
Brothers on 14 April 1932, at which time she (Viccie) would be age 90. That letter
references Viccie as "Auntie", and also mentions "Andrew and his two hungry
boys" and "Hattie". We do not know who Andrew or Hattie are. Also, we do
not know how she was related to Wright Ben Krotzer,
but we suspect (from family tradition) that she was his mother.
