Bruce Craig's father was Archie Clemens Craig; see the Craig Tree. Bruce Craig's
mother was Lois Melvina Krotzer, born 1898. Lois was third of four children born to Wright
Ben Krotzer and Amanda "Emma" Brothers. Lois said her mother, Emma Brothers,
died early 1900s, and W.B. was unable to care for the children on his own. A letter
written by Walter Krotzer in 1936 indicates Emma was still alive in 1934 in Orofino,
Idaho. Whichever recored is correct, W.B. placed the two older children in a
childrens' home, and placed the two younger children for adoption. Lois was adopted by
M.J. Camp and his wife, Amanda Craig. (Amanda Craig was the sister of Asbury Allen Craig
who was Archie Craig's grandfather. Archie was raised by his grandparents; thus, Archie
and Lois were raised as "cousins" which lead to consternation among family
members when Archie and Lois decided to marry.) Paul was adopted by a family named Gould
who lived in Texas.
