James Edward Brothers was the father of my
grandmother, Amanda "Emma" Brothers. The
records we have indicate he was born in Cherry Valley, New York in 1822, and died in Coeur
d'Alene, Idaho on 17 June, 1899. He was thought to have married Elizabeth Hall, born in
Chicago, Illinois, on 16 August, 1844 in Henry county, Indiana. They had three children.
He married Bertha Ziebarth in Wright county, Minnesota in 1863. They had six children. He
married Victorine Neild Crotzer in Wright
county, Minnesota on 14 October, 1884. They had no children. Photo is not dated. Also see Funeral Card page.
