My records show
Lois Melvina Krotzer's mother's name as Emma Brothers. Another source recently indicated
Emma was a nickname for Amanda. My older brother had never heard the "Emma,"
rather always heard her name as "Amanda." She married Wright Ben Krotzer (both
from Delano, Minnesota area) in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on 10 December 1893, where W.B. was
said to be a mechanic or tugboat operator on Coeur d'Alene Lake for a lumber mill.
They had two children at Coeur d'Alene, and two at Harrison, Idaho. Reason for the move is
unknown. Her daughter, Lois, stated that Emma died due to reason/s unknown in early 1900s.
A letter written by Walter Krotzer in 1936 indicates Emma was alive in 1934 in Orofino,
Idaho. We do not know which is correct.

Amanda
"Emma" Brothers.
Date of photo unknown.

Emma Brothers and Nillie Mills, St. Paul, Minnesota. Emma Brothers, on
another photo, is identified as "Papa's sister." We conclude from that note and
the source of the other photo, that "Papa" means Edward Everett Brothers. Nillie
Mills is thought to be a cousin of Emma, but we have no specific evidence.

Photographer's identifier on photo card.
